What is SlingFile.com?
With SlingFile.com you can host files, images, videos, audio and flash on the same place and as long as they remain active they can be downloaded unlimited time!
SlingFile offers a fast and simple way to share files. All files web hosting are on powerful and stable linux dedicated servers! Our servers are managed by professionals who know what they're doing.
Is it free?
Yes, it is. You can downdoad files for free. If you choose option high speed, there will be a low fee.
Is there a maximum size for a file I can send/upload?
Up to 1GB per file and you may upload as many files as you want.
What kind of files are allowed to be uploaded to the site?
All files that are legal and you own the rights to are allowed, except adult material.
How long will my files be hosted on SlingFile?
There is no time limit, but files not downloaded for extended periods of time may be deleted in order to keep our hard drives clean.
What type of file extensions can I upload?
All file extensions allowed! No restrictions!
Does SlingFile.com compress or alter files/images/audio/video in any way?
No, we don't alter file content. What you upload is exactly what your recipient downloads.
How can I delete a file I uploaded?
To delete a file you uploaded you must click on "delete this file" on it's download page. When you're asked for a password, enter the password that was provided to you after the upload proccess.
If you lost your removal code you can simply wait until the file expires so it will be automatically removed from our site.
Who sent this file? Is it safe...?
If you don't know the sender, then we don't recommend downloading or opening the file.
I deleted a file that I sent through your site. Is there any way I can access that file?
Once a file has been removed (or expired) from our servers, it is no longer accessible. The original sender would have to upload it again.
Can I search for files other people uploaded?
No, because not everyone wishes to share the files they upload with everyone else.
Can I resend a file? Do I have to upload my file again?
For every file you upload while signed in, there will be an entry in your "Sent Items" log. Just sign into your account, and click on the "My Files" link on the top. You can copy the links from there and forward them to your recipients via email, instant messenger, etc.
How many downloads are allowed?
You can download as many times as you wish!
Which browsers are supported and which versions?
Microsoft Internet Explorer, Opera, Fire Fox and all browsers than use web's rules.
I use AOL. When I click on the link in the SlingFile Delivery Notification email, it doesn't allow me to download the file. What's going on?
First, if you see a dialog box that asks "Do you wish to open this email?", you must click the "yes" button.
Next, click "Show Images & Enable Links" in the upper right corner of your email window.
Copy the link (which should look something like https://www.SlingFile.com/file/xx-xxxxxxxxxx.html) and paste it into the address bar of a Non-AOL browser, such as Internet Explorer. This should allow you to download your file.
Why is my file blocked?
This can happen for several reasons:
The file has been manually removed by the sender or a recipient using this page.
The file violates SlingFile's Terms of Service, which prohibits the uploading of obscene, illegal, or copyrighted material.
How do I remove copyrighted/objectionable/pirated material from your service?
